Meet Our Staff

We are blessed to have a dedicated and growing team of staff who are passionate about serving our local youth.

  • Daniel Sanabria – Executive Director

Daniel is a born and raised New Yorker who lives in Brooklyn with his family. Daniel brings a wealth of leadership and experience from the youth ministry landscape across New York City. In addition to leading youth ministry networks that impact hundreds of churches across the five boroughs of NYC, he’s also the founder of a youth led prayer initiative called God Belongs in My City. Under his leadership, this initiative has spread to 80 cities across the U.S. and now to other countries around the world. Daniel is excited to lead our YFC team as we launch our initial ministry effort in New York City around Juvenile Justice. He’s excited to leverage his experience in the city and his vast network with local churches to raise up caring volunteers to come alongside kids in tough places before, during and after incarceration. Daniel has his B.A from King’s College in Business and Marketing and has been in full-time ministry for 15 years. ds[email protected]

  • Angel Maldonado – Community Engagement Coordinator

Growing up in Brooklyn, Angel faced multiple challenges, including the loss of his Father which emotionally scarred him and catapulted him into a life of violence, gang affiliation and drug addiction. His desire for guidance and true friendship led him to a life in Christ and allowed him to recognize a need in his community and he became passionate about helping to develop teens and young adults and realize their purpose in Jesus and in their community. Since then, Angel has become actively involved in project planning and programming for community engagement organizations and even the New York City Mayor’s office. Angel has defied odds his entire life and is dedicated to serve his city's youth to ensure that they do the same. [email protected]

  • Phillip Vellon - Juvenile Justice Ministry Director

Phillip is a native New Yorker who lives in Brooklyn with his wife, Karina. Phil joins the YFC NYC team after 5 years as a Programs Coordinator for the Garden of Dreams Foundation at Madison Square Garden. While growing up in Brooklyn and seeing most of his friends get into trouble with the law, Phil developed a passion to serve young people all around the city who are hurting and help lead them to a life in Christ. He has worked in Youth Ministry for 8 years and is thrilled to be answering the call on his life to work in full time ministry and be there not for, but with kids before, during and after incarceration who are hurting.

  • Lenmarie Pascall – Juvenile Justice Ministry Staff

Lenmarie is a native Trinidadian, who serves as the Youth Pastor of her church, Springfield Gardens Church of the Nazarene. She is a current Mdiv student at Nyack’s Alliance Theological Seminary. She formerly worked as a Financial Analyst for New York Presbyterian Hospital until she answered the call on her life to full time ministry and service to her church and community. Her current youth group is called Unfinished Youth because they believe that they have not finished the assignment God has set out for them and that He is still working in their lives both individually and collectively. Although she favors many scripture verses, she lives by Matthew 6:33, which states, "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." She wants her life to be an example of how God can move in a miraculous way once he is sought first. Lenmarie enjoys hanging out with the youth and fellowshipping with family and friends. Her hobbies include: traveling, outdoors, attending plays and trips to the museum and parks.[email protected]
